The Face of Major League Baseball Has Lived Up To The Contract

The San Diego Padres are just different when Tatis Jr. is in the lineup.

Fernando Tatis Jr.

The cool name that presents swagger and fun to the game of baseball. Boomers hate to see it, but Tatis Jr. is actually helping younger generations get into the game and not make it boring. The hair, the equipment, the personality, you name it! This kid is arguably considered the best shortstop and Padres history and he is only in the majors for two and a half seasons.

The Padres offense has not been showing up this 2021 season, but Tatis has. Despite missing 18 games as of now, he is currently second in the N.L. with home runs and has provided the electricity to San Diego and their bats. Tatis is hitting .273 with an OPS of .987. He is bringing the energy and the nickname Slam Diego back this year. He can't be the spark plug all by himself but at least he can prove that he is the face of Padres baseball and of Major League Baseball. Haters gonna hate.
